Day One and a half - Winnipeg - Toronto - Rome - Milan - Verona - Venice (outskirts)

We are alive and well at our hotel.  It is 8:30 pm Wednesday evening here in Venice and the kids are already in bed.  We proposed a 10:30 room check - they requested an 8:30 good night call.  Our first time flyers loved the flights - "I love this", "This is awesome", "I can't believe I was worried" and "this was way better than I thought" . After flying on 3 separate planes most of us are experts and are ready to take a break from the friendly skies for a bit.
We made it to Verona.  Apologies in advance for boob pictures that may make their way home - ask Kelsey, Erica, and Meghan or if you are worried google Juliet statue in Verona. We tasted our first pizza and gelati, saw an amazing bridge and the amphatheatre that is still in use today.  Kids had two hours of free time and made it back to our check in point on time - check Matt's credit card, he was pumped to shop!  Our tour guide Riccardo is taking good care of us and the ladies with dietary requirements.  We are feeling good!
Tomorrow we have a 5:45 start to the day and make our way into Venice for a glass blowing demonstration, the Dodges Palace, and a Gondola ride (everyone is paid and in for the adventure).  The weather today hit a high of 21C, our kids were in their tank tops while the Italians were sporting their winter parka's and scarves.
